Fairline Yachts Ltd was founded in 1963 in Oundle, Northamptonshire, by Jack Newington as Fairline Boats. The company began as a British manufacturer of luxury motor yachts. It all started when Jack bought gravel pits in River Nene and established Oundle Marina.

He debuted the first Fairline boat, a 19-footer, in 1967. After Sam, Jack’s son took over in 1971, the company expanded and hired fourteen people. After the success of the Fairline 0 model in 1977, Sam continued to expand the company overseas, and by 1979, the company employed 140 people.

By the 1980s, the company was producing high-speed yachts and had received the Queen’s Award for Enterprise and International Trade. Fairline Yachts Ltd was founded in 2016 by Alexander Volov and Igor Gyyanenko, who renamed Fairline Boats into Fairline Yachts Ltd.
